Back To School Bulletin Boards
Bulletin boards are a critical part in any classroom, whether you teach in the first grade or the eleventh grade. That’s because bulletin boards are a great place to post critical information, reminders, the calendar, posters, and other fun things to make the classroom more inviting and friendly for students. If you have ever seen an elementary school classroom, you probably know exactly what sort of bulletin board I’m talking about. In the spring, they are decorated with bright colors and borders made of flowers, Easter eggs, baby chicks, and the like. In the winter, you’ll see them covered in red and green, as well as fun snowflakes. But what is the best way to prepare them for the beginning of a new school year?
Back to school bulletin boards should include some basic information. This is because children might be nervous or uncertain, and thus worried about if they’re in the right class or doing the right thing. Your bulletin boards should include the grade, the teacher’s name, and the room number in letters that are eye catching and bright. You can also include a section where there are some basic rules for your class, or a welcome banner for all the students. You might want to choose a specific theme. Perhaps the theme for your class is a year of adventure and new beginnings. Then you would want to have something on your bulletin boards that would reflect that year of adventure.
